The most popular routes to the coast are via St Lucia or Sodwana Bay. In each direction it is about an hour drive. Sodwana is famous for diving and fishing and in season you will see turtles or whales. St Lucia is very popular as well and offers boat ride on the estuary to watch crocodiles, hippos and other animals in their natural environment. You can explore the eastern and western shores with very different habitats. You can drive up to Cape Vidal and see the St Lucia lake from the eastern side.
